Academy, Schmademy

For the last week or two, I've spent the better part of my work days stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic due to emergency road repairs at Hollywood & Highland. Must be time for the Oscars again.

With Hollywood's Most Incestuous set to begin mere minutes from now, I offer some anti-Oscar conjecture relating to the People's Video and its effects on entertainment:

// "The Movie Magic is Gone" by Neal Gabler, LA Times
// "Hollywood Disrupted" by Robert Young, GigaOM

Perhaps soon all the red carpet mumbo jumbo will be relegated to vloggers.
